Kyle Montes De Oca

Kyle’s practice focuses primarily on professional liability, including both the representation and prosecution of attorneys. Due to the “case within a case” nature of legal malpractice claims, Kyle has experience in a wide range of disciplines in the legal field, including personal injury, real estate, family law, probate, and business and commercial litigation.

He has successfully resolved numerous cases through trial, mediation, and dispositive motions in both state and federal courts. Kyle is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.

Educational, Professional, and Community Activities

Kyle’s professional activities include membership in the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF).

He is an active member of the Barrister’s Club, and is the current co-chair of the Social Events and Networking Committee.

He is also a member of the Barrister’s Strategic Planning Committee, and has previously served on the Nominating Committee and Judges Reception Committee.

In addition to his practice, Kyle is active in the community. Kyle is on the Development Board of San Francisco’s Saint James Catholic Elementary School, and enjoys teaching and sharing his passion for the law with future generations.

Additionally, Kyle is actively involved as a pro bono attorney with the national organization Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) that advocates for the rights of unaccompanied migrant and refugee children.

Kyle received his B.A. degree with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2007 and law degree from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2011.

He is a member of the State Bar of California and various federal district court bars in California.

Kyle is fluent in Spanish.

Life Outside of Law

Outside of the office, Kyle loves to be with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
